Adventures

Voyagers (Grades 6-8)

VOYAGERS offers campers who have completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade two-week sessions of both day and overnight trips to destinations such as the Berkshires, Rhode Island, Cape Cod and New Hampshire. This program is for those who enjoy nature and are looking to challenge themselves with overnight camping and more extreme adventures. Voyagers is the advanced group of the Adventures program.

Activities may include advanced hiking, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, fishing, swimming, and canoeing. All admission fees are included in the tuition cost. Sessions culminate in a two-night camping trip. The only exception to this occurs during Session 1, when camping will occur on a Monday (July 1st) and Tuesday evening (July 2nd) due to the July 4th holiday.

Note: Camping is a required component of the Voyagers session, so there is not an on-campus alternative. Hiking, biking and kayaking / canoeing will also take place during each session. Please ensure that your camper is comfortable with these activities before signing up!

Drop-off and pick-up will occur at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall every day. Drop-off runs from 8:15am - 8:45am. Pick-up runs from 3:30pm - 4:00pm. When a group leaves for a camping trip, it returns in time for dismissal on Friday. Please note that there will be an early dismissal (2:00pm) on August 16th. Bus and Extended Day options are also available!
